Guest Blogger, Madison Aka My sissy

by Miss Style on Saturday, March 3, 2012

So basically, Madi is my sister and my best friend. Everyone we come into contact with is like "OMG YOU BOTH ARE TWINS". I promise we're not. She's two years younger, but that doesn't mean that we don't think exactly alike/look exactly alike/ sound exactly alike. I guess we're both too awesome for this world to handle.
I think I've been too hard on my sister, though. I kept telling her, "Madi, get me your pictures for the blog" and she'd be all "I'M BUSY". I think I put too much pressure on her. She finally got out and took some cute outfit pics, though! Yay for her being a busy college student and guest blogger!

Jacket: Goodwill
Blouse: Old Navy
Jeans: Forever 21
Oxfords: Ebay

Isn't she the cutest? I know her closet better than my own, so I didn't even have to ask her where she got any of it. She wore this to go see my parents, whom she hasn't seen in 3 months! She's lives the life of a lonely Coloradoan (it's not a word and I made it up, this I realize), being the only of us to travel out of state for College. Now my parents are moving out there because my Dad got a new job and they're leaving me here all by myself! Oh great! JUST...great. Such is the life of a stylish social pariah! Yes, I spend my Saturday nights blogging and not doing fun things like...I don't know what do fun people do?

Miss Style's Oscar Look

by Miss Style on Tuesday, February 28, 2012

Sorry this is a late post, all. I've been without internet for a few days now because of a cabel modem busting in our neighborhood. I've spent a lot of my time lately cursing and asking myself why I still live with my parents in the Suburbs. This is my life. THIS. IS. MY. LIFE.

Anyways, here's my outfit for the Oscar Celebration! And by celebration I mean I put out some healthy hors d'oerves (good job taking a snap shot of the beautiful display you made for nothing, Molly) and I skyped my sister (Madi, or shesacalamity.blogspot.com). I ate them practically by myself while Madi and I simultaneously watched the red carpet arrivals. My mom and dad would come in now and again and sneak a bite, but other than that, FOREVER ALONE.

Dress: Forever 21
Pumps: Elle for Kohls
Necklace/Bracelet: Forever 21
Hair and makeup by me of course. I went for a more bronzy look to go with this.
Like the setting for the impromptu photo shoot? I tried to get better camera quality by going outside in better lighting, but I didn't know that 330 pm meant INTENSE SUN IN EYES weather. You can see from my squinty asian expressions in most of them. I'll get it right, one day. I guess not all of us can be master models/have amazing photographer friends like Corey
Stay tuned for my Best and Worst dressed Oscars post, and I'll be doing a separate post dedicated only to Best and worst After Party looks!

Can we take a moment?

by Miss Style on Friday, February 24, 2012

To pause and appreciate a wickedly beautiful woman in a wickedly beautiful dress?

I think we should.

Sigh.
